The Philip S. Orsino Cell Therapy Facility is a state-of-the-art facility offering Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) grade cell and tissue processing capabilities.

Our goal is to advance cell therapy research by providing the necessary infrastructure and expertise to enable the clinical implementation of novel cell therapy protocols.

First Annual Workshop: "Introduction to Clinical Trial Application (CTA) Process for Cell-Based Therapies" to be held by the Cell Therapy Program to provide an overview of the pre-clinical studies, manufacturing practices, regulatory submissions and quality control issues underlying the translation of a cell therapy product from bench to clinic.

Dr. Armand Keating, Director of the Cell Therapy Program, received $7.3M in infrastructure support under the Leading Edge Fund from the Canada Foundation for Innovation to establish the "Ontario Regional Center for Cell and Vector Production”.

Jan. 5, 2009
Dr. Sowmya Viswanathan joins the Cell Therapy Program as Associate Director and brings with her stem cell expertise and industry experience from Johnson and Johnson Regenerative Therapeutics.
