AMPL has provided services to researchers, Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) clinical trials investigators, PMH Drug Development Program (DDP), the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group (NCIC-CTG), and industry sponsored projects.

To date, AMPL has generated biomarker data for approximately 1400 patient samples from 19 clinical trials.

Welcome to the Applied Molecular Profiling Laboratory

The Applied Molecular Profiling Laboratory (AMPL) as part of the University Health Network consolidates expertise for the molecular profiling of tumour samples and pharmacodynamics monitoring in clinical and pre-clincial studies using complementary analytical platforms.

AMPL offers tailored services in Cytomics, Genomics and Pharmacokinetics, providing quality control procedures from start (specimen collection) to finish (generating results) for research purposes.

We offer:
  • Consultation on biomarkers for clinical protocols & research projects
  • Method development, optimization & standardization
  • Advanced image capture & semi-quantitative image analysis
  • Single cell signal activation for pharmacodynamics flow cytometry
  • ELISA quantification of protein concentration
  • FISH quantification of gene copy
  • High throughput gene sequencing, mutation and SNPs analysis
  • Drug and metabolite analysis
